what's old is new again...
It's been years since I've tinkered with Flightgear. I'm a newbie, all over again! After a few days of tinkering with the simulator and perusing the Flightgear forum, I was able to resurrect an old project and bring it up to speed... sort of. Above is shown my model of a 1911 Wright EX in flight over the Chesapeake Bay, just north of Annapolis, Maryland. The model was originally made for the old 'MicroFlight' simulator. The purpose of this blog is to document this old dog's new journey of discovery in Flightgear. (I'm not kidding when I say it's changed a lot since the last time I used it!) The blog will also provide me with a location to host pictures and provide a reference spot for those sites that I find helpful.
other floatgear, er... flightgear projects i'd like to tackle...
These are all models I made years ago. I was not able to recover the most complete versions of some so there's some backfilling I'll need to do--particularly with the liveries (textures) and texture mapping. So, in no particular order: 1.CSS Virginia 2. Laird Super Solution 3. Skipjack Kathryn 4. USS Brooklyn
